At JagatSinghpur, Police had denied his claim of Police using force for acquiring land. After the money being paid to the land user, the land is acquired & with Police protection for land owner. With the President rejecting the petition on August 2011, it is being heard in Supreme Court.

Original_app_mssg(1) Modi Brand
JD(U) President & NDA Co-ordinator had stated that some corporate houses are raising the name of PM's candidate & warned them. He advised them that they should not play with the fire and run the businesses. Their(political) work should be left to them. He told that PM is being searched like atomic bomb research. It should be stopped. NDA had not asked anything upon it. It would be declared by their party at the right time.
It is to note that during EU meeting on past January 7, apart from Gujarat riots, country's politics & communal factor were also discussed along with Modi so that EU shouldnot have to change it's stance after his coming into National Politics. EU had, thus, kept open doors for talks with him. Earlier, the ruling Congress Party had suggested that foreign countries should not stand on India's internal political issues.
Original_app_mssg(2) Constitutional Bodies[CAG]
The Comptroller & Auditor General had, in a lecture at Harvard Kennedy School, stated that it cannot limit itself to presenting audit report. It had found it's own route that it is responsible for the public. It has the right to know about public awareness especially primary education, drinking water, rural health, pollution & environment etc like social issues.
The govt. had told CAG to remain in it's limits & Congress has highlighted it's political aspirations. BJP & other opposition parties claimed that since CAG is not functioning as per the govt.,he is being targetted.
The I & B minister told that rather than justifying his data about 2G claims, he had accepted outside forum. Congress secretary had asked whether they wish to be PM? They could fight election but presently he should be within limits. BJP spokesman told that it is history of Congress to make use of such constitutional bodies. It had forced such bodies to work in their favour. It had not left CVC, CBI & CAG.
CPI(M) told that it is unfortunate & indicates decline in political behaviour. CPI told that it is a practice of Congress to target such bodies.
Original_app_mssg(3) Debate on death Penalties
After Afzal guru's execution, debate had started at many levels as to why he was kept alive for so many years. However, sources claim that it is a legal process under which President takes a decision. The mercy petition time frame is not certain & many culprits take advantage of it. As per present law, GoM is also involved for giving suggestion. But Article 17 needs to be amended under which the decision is taken. Earlier, Kasab was also kept live for many days.
Presently, there are five prisons for execution viz. Ludhiana, Nagpur, Pune, Delhi etc. with more than 100 acquitted for death penalty.
Earlier, while executing death sentence of Kasab, Pakistani national, Indian Home Secretary had sent a letter to foreign secretary on November 14, 2002, which was as follows:
I wish to inform you that Ajmal Kasab's mercy petition sent to the President is rejected. As per Maharashtra State's Prison code, the said prisoner is to be executed on November 21 at Yerwada jail, Pune. In this regard,a formal letter by Mumbai Central jail with no. MCP/SRJR/PRI/Kasab/Visit/156 dated November 12, 2012 is for relatives of Prisoner no. C/7096, which is attached. It is requested to provide information to his relatives.
Original_app_mssg(4) Tsunami
A powerful earthquake off the Solomon Islands generated a tsunami of up to 1.5 meters (about 5 feet) that damaged dozens of homes in the South Pacific island chain Wednesday, but authorities canceled warnings for tsunamis on more distant coasts.
Solomons officials reported two 1.5-meter (4 foot, 11-inch) waves hit the western side of Santa Cruz Island, damaging around 50 homes and properties, said George Herming, a spokesman for the prime minister. There were no reports of injuries or deaths. Villagers were heading for higher ground as a precaution, Herming said.
The tsunami formed after an 8.0-magnitude earthquake near Lata on Santa Cruz in Temotu province, the easternmost province of the Solomons, about a 3-hour flight from the capital, Honiara. The region has a population of around 30,000 people.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said a tsunami of about a meter (3 feet) was measured in Lata wharf, in the Solomon Islands. The center said an 11-centimeter (4.3-inch) wave was observed in neighboring Vanuatu.
The center cancelled earlier warnings for tsunami waves further away.
In Honiara, the warnings had prompted residents to flee for higher ground.
"People are still standing on the hills outside of Honiara just looking out over the water, trying to observe if there is a wave coming in," said Herming. So far, he had received no reports that a wave had been spotted in Honiara.
Atenia Tahu, who works for the Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corp. in Honiara, said most people were remaining calm.
"People around the coast and in the capital are ringing in and trying to get information from us and the National Disaster Office and are slowly moving up to higher ground," Tahu said. "But panic? No, no, no, people are not panicking."
An official at the disaster management office in Vanuatu said there were no reports of damage or injuries there.
More than 50 people were killed and thousands lost their homes in April 2007 when a magnitude 8.1 quake hit the western Solomon Islands, sending waves crashing into coastal villages.
The Solomons comprise more than 200 islands with a population of about 552,000 people. They lie on the "Ring of Fire" — an arc of earthquake and volcanic zones that stretches around the Pacific Rim and where about 90 percent of the world's quakes occur.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake struck 81 kilometers (50 miles) west of Lata, at a depth of 5.8 kilometers (3.6 miles). The warning area does not include Hawaii and North and South America.
