Dear all,
Welcome.
Google maps: Internet Search Engine, google, had uploaded country's map of almost all locations & secured it at its US based server. It had been done under organising of mapping contest termed "Mapathon". The country's mapping agency, Survey of India, had told it as a threat to Indian security. It had registered a case against google search engine. India based google's counsel had denied any such allegations regarding violation of law.
A senior officer had told that a letter had been sent to google terming the contest as against Indian mapping policy provisions. It is a contest against the national security. Afterwards, the case had been registered. The Search engine had sent details regarding map maker service to DoST, & Surveyor General of India.
Google had started this service in the year 2008. In March, US had fined google for 38 crores INR. In 2011, Bangalore Police had asked the google site to remove map of important road route.
NADA/WADA/Red tapism: National Anti-doping agency had refused the Sports ministry's order to conduct heroin intake test of Indian Olympic bronze winner for wrestling. The Sports secretary told that NADA was requested to test whether he had taken heroine. But it had not replied in written. NADA's attitude would fetch no results for dope test against him. As per NADA, they would not be conducting test but would comply norms stated under NADA & WADA conduct rules. They are independent body. They would be following protocols only. NADA would conduct dope test on its own as no time limit is given by ministry.
IBF had asked the boxer to come clean but it is under suspension. The Boxer had refused to donate blood & urine samples. He is charged of taking heroine at least twelve times.
Petitions: President had cleared all pending mercy petitions, seven in number, out of which two had been converted into life sentence. During his eight months tenure, he had not left any mercy petition pending as of now. In it, Mumbai serial blast accused & Parliament attack accused had been prime.
National Investigating Agency (NIA) had registered a case of killing against two Italian marines on Friday. This had made Italian PM talk with Indian foreign minister. Also, Italy's Dy. foreign minister had met him. NIA had registered a case under IPC Act. 302, Act 427, & Act 34. The Special Court had registered case against both Italian marines under Prevention of Illegal activities Act, 2002 against sea transportation in continental shelf. The maximum penalty is death. After diplomatic tussle, Italy had sent it's marines with assurance from Indian govt. that they would not be given death penalty. Foreign minister had earlier told both the Houses that the said crime doesn't come under rare crime category. Also, Attorney General had been discussed with. The next hearing is scheduled on April 16. It is to note that the Supreme Court had reverted back it's order of stay on Italian ambassador regarding not leaving India. It is to note that on February 15, 2002, Italian marines deployed on Port "Enrika Lexy" had killed two fishermen folks.
